Melody Moezzi, Iranian- American Muslim Writer and Attorney Speaks on Religion, Politics and Culture in Iran

SAN DIEGO, Ca.– On Thursday, May 12, 2011 UCSD hosts Iranian- American writer and attorney Melody Moezzi. Melody Moezzi  is the author of War on Error: Real Stories of American Muslims and is the Executive Director of the Atlanta based nonprofit, 100 People of Faith.  Moezzi is also the founder of the activist group Hooping for Peace.

Melody is a United Nations Global Expert with the UN Alliance of Civilizations. She has also worked with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security reporting to the U.S. Congressional Commission on International Religious Freedom.

She has written for the Washington Post, CNN.com, Parabola, The Huffington Post, NPR, Ms. Magazine, and many others.
